Over 75 years ago Acousti, Inc. was organized as Acousti Engineering Company, Atlanta, Georgia. Originally formed to be a supplier and contractor of Celotex acoustical ceilings with exclusive rights for the entire Southeastern United States. The Celotex product was an innovative acoustical ceiling made from sugarcane discarded by the sugar manufacturing industry in New Orleans, LA. The original ceiling tile was glued to the ceiling surface until Acousti Engineering Company developed the first suspended ceiling in the industry.
Over the years State franchises were sold off to original investors, causing Acousti Engineering Company of Georgia to change its name to Acousti, Inc. Acousti Inc, is the leading provider in our territory of Operable Partitions, Glass Wall Operable Partitions, Raised Computer Flooring, Over head doors, Fire Rated Doors (Overhead and Side Acting), Projection Screens, Marker Boards, Tack Boards and other specialty items.
